Needless to say, I spend a fair amount of time stringing songs together in the name of my books. The question is, do you want to see my book playlists? Is that something you care about it, or glance at before navigating away?
Sure it wouldn't take long for me to throw up a list, but it does take a fair amount of time for me to find all of them on youtube and group them in such a way here, as to be enjoyable.

I suck at making playlists. Well, I flatout can't. I can never figure out what songs go with what story. Instead, I have the TV on with something mindless for noise while writing.
My mind has a hard time focusing on one thing at a time. So music is critical for to me to get anything done or read =)
I generally don't make playlists for my books, but I find I listen to certain kinds of music depending on the genre. I do enjoy listening, or seeing, what songs inspired an author though. Always fascinating.
When I read I love having music in the background and I usually try to find songs that are not going to distract me from the story I am reading.
I would love a playlist for my books because on my ipod it random shuffles them so I never get the whole story at one time.
I would be interested to see what you listen to while writing. Are the songs about the characters, the mood of the particular scene, etc? For me, I tend to tune in too much to music, so I only listen while cleaning, cooking, or in the car. When I'm writing, the TV has to be on (with the volume turned down low) for my "white noise". In fact, I keep the TV on all night as well; it serves as white noise and a nightlight, lol. Total silence freaks me out.
I absolutely love book playlists! I actually just got done making one for a book that I'm starting, so I can listen as I read.
I do and I wish there were more.
I prefer to read without background because when I listen to music I get into the music.
I love playlist. I am married to a musician so music is just a part of my life. I don't make playlists but when I read certain songs seem to fit well with certain charaters. I have a friend who is an author and she always makes a playlist for her books and I know Deborah Harkness has playlists. I love listening to songs that inspire authors and their characters
I love playlists - I have music running almost constantly and I find certain bands or sounds go well with certain characters or events - and I love author playlists (even better when the integrate them into the book itself by saying what the characters are listening to at any point) music is extremely important to me

Music either distracts me from the book, or the book keeps me from hearing the music, so I avoid music when I'm reading.

Love playlist for books. I usually end up with a bunch of songs that I connect with when reading or that one song that I find fits the book. If the author list songs during the book if I don't already know them I will go listen to familiarize myself with it. I find it makes such a good connection with the story.
I love playlists, I usually just throw on a playlist of my favourite artists or find songs that I think fit the genre I'm reading :)
I love it when there is music that goes with the book. When I read a part that has music "playing" I will look up the song and listen to it and then re-read that part to get the full effect.
